AAMT is an Uber-like car service that mainly seeks to service individuals who reside on college campuses in primarily rural and/or desolated areas. Though our main customers are students, our car service will provide rides for the general public in these areas as well. AAMT has a limit of a 100- mile radius. Specifying our target market to these particular geographic spaces, we are able to set ourselves apart. We recognize the need for these services because as college students ourselves, in a rather rural and isolated area, we have zero access to Uber, limited access to public transportation, as well as an awareness that not every student has access to their own vehicle. Having to depend on others for transportation is not convenient at all, especially when you may want to do things independently or at the last minute, and are forced to build your schedule around other people’s responsibilities, priorities, and time. That being said, we aim to alleviate some of the stresses that come with feeling isolated or extremely dependent by offering a source of public transportation. Another area we seek to service involves the issue of lacking designated drivers and increasing distributions of DUI’s near/on college campuses. We understand that a common mentality may be, “it’s right around the corner” or, “I only had a couple drinks” but the fact of the matter is that anything can happen and nobody’s life, whether it be the driver themselves or others on the road, should be put in jeopardy. Recognizing this, we would like to station ourselves at popular bars near campuses, much like how a taxi service waits outside of an airport, anticipating that there will be a need for our service. In terms of employment, we seek to hire collegiate/local drivers. Often times, college students or individuals in small cities/towns have trouble finding jobs and that is an area that we can also cater to.
