Our idea, The Green Machine, is an environmentally friendly twist on the classic disposable to-go containers with an easy, convenient place to return them after use. Essentially, we would market these reusable to-go containers to businesses with to-go options and university dining halls and provide them with boxes in the radius of the business for their customers to return their containers after use. The returns would be tracked by an app that customers could download and they will be rewarded points for using and returning the reusable containers. The points can be exchanged for rewards for future purchases at businesses. This will help to decrease waste of paper, StyroFoam and plastic from disposable containers, and customers will not have to worry about carrying around a reusable container until the next time they go to the store they purchased it from because they will have convenient places to return them.
